Educational Requirement for UPSC ESE 2024 Notification

• A candidate must have earned an engineering degree from a university established in India by an act of the Central or State Legislature, from another educational institution created by a law of Parliament, or from one that was designated as meeting the requirements of Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 to qualify as a university.
• The applicant must have earned an engineering degree or diploma from a foreign university, college, or institution on the terms that may occasionally be recognized by the government for this purpose.
• The Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) Sections A and B must have been passed by the candidate.

• (I) Nationality:
• A candidate must be either:
• (a) a citizen of India, or
• (b) a subject of Nepal, or
• (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
• (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,
  the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently
  setting in India.
